Some days are just a little more special than others.

Tomorrow is one of those days.

When I entered Sun Catchers into the Readers Favorite International Awards, I was hoping the book would make an impression. (link to the results here: https://readersfavorite.com/2026-award-contest-winners.htm#sun-catchers )

I certainly wasn’t expecting to come away with a Gold Medal.

Sun Catchers has been a particularly meaningful project for me. It’s a dystopian fantasy that explores a world shaped by ten distinct layers, and it allowed me to step outside the world of Mathsmagica and try something very different.

Seeing it receive a Gold Medal is an incredible feeling.

It’s also a reminder of why I keep writing these stories that live in my head for far too long. Haha.

So tomorrow, we’re going to celebrate that win properly.

📖 Welcome to Eonal Village

And as if one celebration wasn’t enough…

Mathsmagica: Eonal Village is now officially here!

Eonal Village is a standalone side story set within the world of Mathsmagica. It’s a smaller story than the main novels, but it’s one I’ve been excited to share for quite some time.

There’s something particularly fun about returning to a world you’ve already built and exploring a corner of it that readers haven’t seen before.

And releasing it on September 3 — my birthday made it even more special. ❤️

So now we have a new story out in the world and a Gold Medal to celebrate.

I’d say that’s a pretty good week.

As you all know, “Sun Catchers” is now released! It’s available in ebook, paperback, and hardcover.

How is the release going?

Well, we didn’t meet the preorder goals, but that’s partially to be expected, I suppose.

What matters more is–hardcovers are being sold. That’s the gold. This book shines not just in story, but the physical editions are trophies. It is the only way to properly enjoy and dive into this story. No white pages? Yeah. That really delivers.

And what about the release event?

That went good. Unfortunately Jack Rose couldn’t join us because real life got in the way. But Justin Fife, Noemi Hefti, Iliyana Soteva Georgieva, and Megan Russ joined me and we all celebrated Sun Catchers by talking about what really struck is in the story and what it meant to us. But also…

The Sun Catchers role-play!

Yeah, we played as the main characters of Sun Catchers and attempted a Sun Catching mission. The idea is taken from the first chapter of the book, but when you introduce dice–it becomes nightmare difficulty. Or at least, that’s what it was for us!

We didn’t manage to reach the surface, really. But we will continue the game in the future! Stay tuned for news.

What happens next?

Well. Apparently, this is the time when I just open Goodreads and constantly refresh the Sun Catchers page to see the new reviews and find out what my readers think of the story I’m so proud of!

Honestly, I’ll share a few lines of some of the reviews that I loved.

And then an explosive ending. The WTF?? The, let’s go back and re-read that because I’m certain I didn’t get that right. The punch to the gut when you figured out you read it right.

The MCs, Kael, Claire, Sol & Dallas literally come to life in this book. The mental imagery is superb. The author creates such a huge connection between the characters and their world, its like nothing Ive read before.

The ending completely floored me. I actually had to reread it to make sure I’d understood it correctly. It was a truly unexpected twist that caught me off guard, which doesn’t happen often. If you enjoy epic, fast-paced stories, this is one you should pick up and read as soon as possible.

A little over 12 hours ago, Justin Fife, Noemi Hefti, Jack M Rose and I crossed the veil. We played a game of questions, and everyone ended up getting to roleplay as the character they chose. Justin picked Viktor from “Crossing The Veil”, Noemi picked Sol from “Sun Catchers”, and Jack picked Avos from “Mathsmagica.”

Oh, that was a long title.

Am I excited to reveal to you “Crossing The Veil”! It’s the first time I’ve written a Halloween story. It all started with, “Wait… What is Halloween even about?”

And that led me to “Samhain” which is the origin of the modern Halloween. It’s when the veil between the living and the spirit realms is thinnest. If you sign up for my newsletter, you’d be able to get it for free, by the way.

31 October 2025 – 00:30 CEST – I’ll be livestreaming with my good friends Justin Fife (Professional Audiobook Narrator), Noemi Hefti (Daniel G’s Fantasy Worlds Encyclopedia), Jack M. Rose (Debut Author and also the self-proclaimed Mathsmagica TOP FAN) and we will be roleplaying a new game that the world hasn’t seen yet.

“What roleplaying game? Is it DND? Warhammer?” – No. I created this roleplaying game based on my books. The lovely guests will answer questions that gives them a certain character rooster. Then, these “Fallen” will face The Master, who will put them up into challenges where they’d have to use their character’s knowledge and abilities to push through. But the most important challenges they’d need to unite and go through as a group.

Those who have read “Crossing The Veil” “Mathsmagica” and “Godwalker” will feel particularly involved with this game. But there are also hints from “Sun Catchers” in there.

Did someone say “Crossing The Veil” ? That’s right. The release is coming on 30st of October, BUT you could get it earlier by signing up to my newsletter.
